Not much I need to say, it just needs to speek for itself.

Sep10 What’s next for video?

When it comes to movies and video, everyone’s been talking a lot about 3D. It seems that everything is 3D nowadays. But is that REALLY where this is going? I think that the push for 3D was way too fast and too strong and ‘they’ didn’t ease it out to us enough. So as fast as 3D has came alive (as it were), it will probably disappear just as fast. So let’s just say that were the case…so then what could be next? Saw this on Engadget and had to share it. What a cool concept! HDR Video? Who would’ve ever thought? Could somebody have made some kind of plugin for Final Cut that could have done this fake with any video footage? Probably, but it would be like taking one photograph, processing it a bunch of different ways and using all those to create an HDR image–just doesn’t cut it, it’s never the same as having pure raw images. For this experiment, 2 Canon 5D Mk2s were used at different exposures and combined together to create an HDR movie. It think this is very cool and hope it catches on!

Aug02 AUGMENTED REALITY

I know this has been around a little while, but it’s getting scary to me how advanced this is getting. At what point does this go too far where we just constantly live in a ‘Matrix’ type world….not to get TOO ‘conspiracy theory’ on everyone. ;)

Jul30 FLOATING APARTMENTS

Interesting idea…why do I feel like we’ll all be here sooner than later….

Concept is called the Citadel and right now it’s based in Holland. They are finally embracing their heavy water problem instead of trying to fight it.

Jul08 MEGABYTE, GIGABYTE, TERABYTE…PETABYTE??

I know I’m a nerd because I LOVE this stuff, but it’s self-awareness that is the key…

Thanks Gizmodo for the image.

Jun18 VIRTUAL BOX SIMULATOR

I know that sounds sexy initially, but it’s really just some new breakthrough technology the USPS is using in Priority Mail. Unfortunately I do not have a webcam so I couldn’t test it out, but I would love to hear some feedback from anybody else to see if this actually works…Kind of fun. Here’s the site link.

May19 GOOGLE REPLACEMENT? – WOLFRAMALPHA

Now this is quite interesting: I had heard/read about this quite a while ago and actually thought it would never come to fruition, but here it is, launched today. WolframAlpha is a new search engine that has incredible technology that instantaneously can display multiple aspects and information of what you are searching for. Unlike Google, it doesn’t search every single html word in every single indexed web site in the world. WolframAlpha pulls it’s info from databases and can immediately display the information that you are looking for. In the screenshot below, you can see all I did was search for “Waltham, MA” and it gave me many different pieces of information about Waltham. Another interesting (and fascinating) piece of WolframAlpha is that it has the ability to understand if you are asking a question, for example, try typing “how many yards in a mile?”. You’ll see that immediately, it gives you the information you are looking for and more! I think this is amazing technology and I am most definitely going to start using it more and more to try to find it’s faults :)
